Unbelievable, I am speechless.
What the hell are people doing about this?
Really folks why is there not a revolution? This is insanity.

Well I have the strangest thing...
I have an LCD screen and I have a tiny spider, which is trapped somehow between the glass and the screen.
As I rule I try never ever to kill a spider, so I don't want to do that but I can't help the poor blighter, and if I do squish him it will leave a permanent blob...
So for today at least I have a tiny little guy running around all over the screen.

So I have lived in Holland for about 10 years and in all that time I had only one leaflet from the government through my door, about the change-over to the Euro.
So in the last few weeks I have received 2.
First, a leaflet about the swine flu, (see earlier post), and now one about new ID documents.
From the 21st September if you renew your passport or Driving license (here you have to renew every 10 years both) you now have to give your fingerprint.
If you refuse, or if you can't for some reason you will receive only a temporary document valid for 1 year.
So....Now preemtive fingerprinting. I don't like that at all, once they have your fingerprint, and it is accepted as a valid means of identification (identifiction), then who is to say one day some person with nefarious intentions can't "plant" your fingerprint somewhere and entrap you....
What are they going to do with a database of fingerprints otherwise?
That's the problem these days, I used to live in France, and I moved to Holland because I didn't like what was happening there, but now what was happening there is happening here and in the UK and everywhere, if it is indeed a New World Order, that is very scary for me, you have no choice, everywhere you go the system will be the same, the only thing you will be able to do change is the setting, I don't call that freedom.
If I don't want to give my fingerprint to the Dutch I can go and give my fingerprint to the Brits or the Germans or the Italians, or wherever, definitely scarey stuff.

This is just copied and pasted... but I think it's two very thought proking items. First:
The 14 signs of Fascism...
Dr. Lawrence Britt has examined the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia) and several Latin American regimes. Britt found 14 defining characteristics common to each:
1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism - Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.
2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights - Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.
3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause - The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.
4. Supremacy of the Military - Even when there are widespread
domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.
5. Rampant Sexism - The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution.
6. Controlled Mass Media - Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.
7. Obsession with National Security - Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.
8. Religion and Government are Intertwined - Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.
9. Corporate Power is Protected - The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.
10. Labor Power is Suppressed - Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.
11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts - Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked.
12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment - Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.
13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption - Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.
14. Fraudulent Elections - Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.
From Liberty Forum
Next a little poem from a German preacher Martin Niemoller written about 1945 or so:
First they came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up, because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one left to speak up for me.
Now once again, I'n not Obama bashing, I think he reads his speeches very well and has great charisma...
I don't think it would have made any difference if McCain had won, it would have been just the same with less charisma, my friends...
or for that matter, Hillary, Huckabee, well anybody that was "in the race" (well except the one guy the media didn't talk about... but well we'll see what happens next time around).
If you are interested in protecting defending, and even how about recovering, our freedom, I recommend joining the
Campaign for Liberty.

Further to what I was saying yesterday.
Think about it, it used to be the Prime Minister would give a speech and in the evening the news folk would jabber about it.
These days it has become, on the morning news the Prime Minister is going to make a speech today and he will say...
Everything is announced before hand.
Reminds me of the little passage in Hitchhickers Guide where for the convenience of the reader, he/she is told in advance that the Space ship crash will not be dreadful and only result in a bruise to Arthur Dent's right arm...
A man way ahead of his time, and it's not even the little green pieces of paper that are unhappy, ah well let's use the leaves as currency, then everyone will be rich, until Autumn.

Well one has to love this, you don't even need to take notes...
A: I will say exactly what will solve the healthcare crisis, I will say exactly what I think will solve the problem ....(when was the crisis declared actually? I don't see any "crisis" in US healthcare, yes it could be a better system but I wouldn't call it a "Crisis" the high end of US medicine is among the best in the world...overpriced perhaps but anyway...
to continue...
...they will have a lot of clarity about what I think is the best way to move forward....
nicely turned phrase for "they will know what I want do to"
B. To make sure that I'm open to new ideas and I'm not being rigid or idealogical...
viz; " I don't have clue what to do but if somebody has a way to get me out of this mess let me know"
So a clear statement that the president is going to forcefully do something or other he doesn't quite know what but it's a good plan.
Hail to the chief.
Bring on the swine flu to help the cause.
And it's interesting isn't it that these days they tell you what's going to happen before it does...
It used to be you watched Eastenders or Coronation Street or Flash Gordon or Buck Rodgers or whatever to find out what happened next... these days they announce in the tabloids the week before what is going to happen in all the soaps, have people become so impatient?
Or is it all just another way to get us used to them announcing what they are going to do before the event so when it happens it just seems like a run of the mill occurence?
@ 2009-09-09 – 19:37:59
Well I am at a loss, I watched his speech and am just in awe, I am in awe that the people swallow this shit up.
Let me see I wrote down a few key words as I was watching.
You have to do what is expected of you….
You have a responsibility….
Quitting school is quitting your country…
Don't talk back to the teacher…
These are kids... what's this all about obligation, reponsability, expectation, you have to do your duty...and really most sinister of all, don't talk back to the teacher !
Bow down to authority and obey !
I’m not saying Obama is the new Fuhrer because I believe he is just a puppet, but don’t those words and sentiments and presentation strike a chord?
If you are not in the Hitler Youth you have deserted your country…
I don’t know the signs are so glaring, and yet so many don’t seem to be able to see but then I suppose in the circumstances there is no choice.
Join the SA or be attacked/ridiculed/persecuted by the SA. I believe seriously these are very dangerous times.
If the people can't see the draft returning well they are blind in fact as usual with these guys they announce in advance what the plan is...
"Is this compulsory"...?
"Well. in the sense that it's required of everybody..."
Triplespeak, or doublebluffspeak, or truespeak?

Well I'm a massive Beatles fan and today is a big day.
The release of the Rock band game for the kiddies, and the release of (once again) remastered CD's, ah well I supppose I have no choice but to buy them, but then I'll need a new Cd player too, beacuse I think the last one bought was about 10 years ago.
999, this time it's not an emergency, but I think there will be a new wave of Beatlemania over the next few months.
It will be interesting to see what happens when young ears hear some really great music instead of the crap that tends to come out these days.
Beyonce? Blunt? Beatles...No contest.

This blogging is alright but sometimes I feel like I am just writing in the wind.
Ah well I suppose that's how Anne Frank must have thought when she was writing in her diary, little did she know her diary would be one of the best selling books in the world and her old house now the most visited tourist sight in Amsterdam.
That's what standing up for things is all about, it may seem futile at the time but years later, well time has a tendancy to show the truth, even if it takes 1,000's of years (I think of Claudius here as a similar example).
Anyway this isn't the age of scrolls hidden in boxes or diaries hidden under floorboards, this is the internet age so , come on -comment ya bastards !

So very interesting, in light of what I posted yesterday, today the Beeb has an article showing that for the first time since they started tracking the data (1993- Are they trying to tell us that before 1993 they had no idea about this stuff ???) Personal Borrowing has fallen !
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8231135.stm
So woot just what we need to sort out this mess, however not for the analysists consulted by the Beeb.
Quote:
"Today's news will not make happy reading for policy makers who have taken significant steps over the last year to encourage greater volumes of lending throughout the economy," said Benjamin Williamson at the centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR).
I don't know what's going on out there in medialand, everything I see as a common sense approach to getting things back on good tracks is admonished as bad news and all the things I see as catastrophic mistakes:- Bail-outs, propping up casino banks, printing up more paper money, etc. are hailed as panaceas and the solution to our problems.
It's a topsy turvy world from where I'm sitting.
